Stephanie Edward Safiyatou, a Baltimore native, is a creative cosmetologist. Her talent and creativity is perfect for every day hairstyles, to high fashion styles and cuts, and everything in between.     Always having a fascination with hair, Safi began experimenting on barbies, friends and neighbors. She began teaching herself about styling tools and products and how they can transform hair. She graduated from Western School of Technology in Baltimore MD in 1990 and is a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Maryland. She has worked at 15 different salons in Baltimore, including the legendary Dett Set and La Unique.

    She has coordinated, produced and featured in several hair shows around the nation including the Golden Scissors Awards and a hair showcase at Red Maple that raised $5,000 for breast cancer research. Safiyatou’s reputation as a phenomenal stylist spread beyond Baltimore and created a demand for her unique skills and special talent in NYC. Soon, Safi was back and forth to New York every week working as a stylist at the famous Khamit Kinks, a salon that services high profile clients such as Maxwell, Lenny Kravits, Queen Latifah, and Stevie Wonder. She has been listed in Essence Magazine as one of the top 50 Colorist in country, and was one of the top stylists in Harlem Fashion Week. She also offers customized hair pieces for designers and  has taught hair cutting classes in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
